HOT MELT ADHESIVE COMPOSITION

An urethane hot melt adhesive composition stiffened by moisture in atmosphere, was prepared. The adhesive composition comprises dihydroxy compound mixed a dihydroxy compound of m.w. 1,500-6,000 and a dihydroxy compound less than m.w. 300, and at the mole ratio of 1:0.1-1, and diisocyanate compound at the mole ratio of 1:1.1-1.5. As a dihydroxy compound of m.w. 1,000-10,000, polyester type polyols such as poly(ethylene glycol)adipate, poly(diethylene glycol)adipate, poly(1,4-butanediol)adipate, poly(1,6-hexanediol)adipate, poly (neopentyl glycol) adipate are used alone or not. Dihydroxy compounds less than m.w. 300 is selected from ethylene glycol, 1,6-hexanediol, diethylene glycol, 1,4-btanediol and propylene glycol.
