METHOD OF CONTROLLING PIEZO ELEMENTS IN A PRINTHEAD OF A DROPLET GENERATOR

The print head has a multitude of adjacently arranged channels with piezo-electr ical shear converters. The impulse form for activation of the converters - depending upon the number of simultaneously activated neighboring channels - is changed in such man ner that the exit velocity of the ink droplets is constant. This makes it possible to ob tain a better print image.
