PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition which is excellent in flame retardancy and can be improved in residence deterioration in molding, by formulating a specific amount of a three-step polymerized acrylic polymer having a specific structure to a flame-retardant styrenic resin containing a flame retarder. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a flame-retardant styrene resin containing a flame retarder and (B) 0.1-10 pts.wt. of a three-step polymerized polymer having a sandwich structure which comprises (i) in the presence of a polymer or a copolymer latex containing at least 50wt.% of methyl methacrylate, preferably having anηSP/C of >=1.0, (ii) an alkyl acrylate or a mixture thereof with a methacrylate are added and polymerized under such conditions thatηSP/C of >=1.5. Then, in the presence of this latex, (iii) methyl methacrylate or a monomer mixture thereof with copolymerizable therewith in an amount of <=50wt.% are added to effect their polymerization to form a sandwich structure that the component i and the component iii are arranged on the inner surface of the component ii and on the outer surface, respectively.
