PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve support plate where the center of a spring member is positioned on the central axis of a cylinder space. SOLUTION: A projection 25 vertically rising cylindrically is installed in the center of a control valve support plate 24. An internal thread structure for clamping an external thread member 26 is formed upon piercing through the center of this projection 25 which restricts the inner circumference of a spring member 23, so that there is no fear of this spring member 23 being tiled down and/or bent at the time of assembling a control valve to an automatic transmission. Since the number of thread ridges of the internal thread structure is increasable as far as a portion of height of the projection 25 without entailing any damage to an expansive stroke of the spring member 23, even if undue clamping is carried out, the internal thread structure is not damaged.
