PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-resistant lubricating oil compsn. which has oxidation and wear resistances enabling it to withstand the use under load at high temps. by compounding a specific compd. into a dipentaerythritol ester base oil. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding O. 1-7 wt. % (based on the compsn.; the same applies hereunder) diphenylamine compd. represented by formula I (wherein R<1> to R<4> are each H or a 1-18C hydrocarbon group) and/or 0.1-3wt.% phenyl-α-naphthylamine compd. represented by formula II (wherein R<5> to R<8> are each H or a 1-18C hydrocarbon group) and 0.1-7wt.% at least one compd. selected from among neutral metal sulfonates, phneates, and salicylates into a lube base oil mainly comprising a dipentaerythritol ester base oil. Pref. the compsn. further contains 0.1-5wt.% phosphorus antioxidant and, still pref., 2-8wt.% viscosity index improver. |
