PURPOSE: A preparation method of a recyclable tarpaulin is provided which can reduce the cost of production to nearly 60% while having the same life span as a PVC tarpaulin. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a recyclable tarpaulin comprises: (a)mixing high density polyethylene(HDPE) as a major component with 6% of UV agent, 15% of incombustible material and if necessary, 6% of pigment and melting at 200°C; (b)extruding in the form of a circular film by passing through a circular die at 190°C; (c)cutting the film to a predetermined width by piling up both sides of the film and passing through a knife plate; (d)drawing the cut film by closely contacting to a 1st and 2nd drawing plates heated at about 160 and 85°C respectively; (e)winding. The process can reduce the cost of production to nearly 60% while giving the same durability as a PVC tarpaulin.
