STRUCTURE OF PHOTO COUPLER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A structure of photo coupler and manufacturing method thereof is provided to simply manufacture a photo coupler and decrease the cost of a product by forming an inner package to four sides of a luminous device and a light receiving device using a white resin and coating a black external package to an external surface of the inner package. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting device(11) and a light receiving device(12) are mounted on a lead frame(10) separately. An inner package(13) formed on all sides of the light devices(11,12) is molded using a white resin for performing a path role of a light. An external package(14) performs a dark room function for preventing a reflection of a light and is coated by an insoluble black ink. The inner package(13) uses a white epoxy mold compound or a melamine compound and separately adds an optical penetrating material to the white epoxy mold compound or the melamine compound for improving an optical transmission characteristic between the light emitting device(11) and the light receiving device(12).
