The plastics weld saddle has a connection socket formed to the saddle body for attaching a branch pipe, a fitting or the like. A cylindrical support area is for welding the saddle body to the external shell of a main pipe. A welding socket is formed to the support surface of the saddle body and arranged coaxially to the connection socket for attaching the weld saddle in a corresponding bore in the wall of the main pipe. The length of the welding socket of the weld saddle has a larger dimension than the wall thickness of the main pipe. |
