The machine contains a ballast dispensing trough (7) consisting of two or more parts which can be moved individually transverse to the road laying direction in a telescopic manner. Each trough is mechanically coupled (9) to a bitumen dispenser nozzle (7) so that the trough and nozzle are moved sideways simultaneously and the nozzle will follow the movement of the trough. An Independent claim is also included for a road laying method using this machine.
