PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement system capable of detecting any illegal settlement using data by stealth or the like, at the time of the settlement. SOLUTION: The settlement system comprises a portable terminal 1, a store terminal 2 and a settlement server 3. The portable terminal 1 has a means for notifying the settlement server 3 of a request for the acceptance of a settlement. The store terminal 2 has a means for notifying the settlement server 3 of a request for the settlement. The settlement server 3 has a means for receiving and processing the request from the portable terminal 1 for the acceptance of the settlement and the request from the store terminal 2 for the settlement. The settlement server 3 receives both the request from the portable terminal 1 for the acceptance of the settlement and the request from the store terminal for the settlement, thereby carrying out a settlement process.
