<p>There is disclosed a raster output scanner (40) which utilizes a vertical cavity laser diode (VCSEL) assembly (42) with an integral set of detectors (S1, ..., S5) for the purpose of individually monitoring and adjusting the output power each laser diode ( l 1, ..., l 5). A semi-transparent and semi-reflective plate (70) is positioned to allow a portion of each light beam ( l 1, ..., l 5) to pass through and reflects the remaining portion of each light beam ( l '1, ..., l '5) back onto the detectors (S1, ..., S5) of the VCSEL assembly (42) to provide a feedback to adjust the output power of its respective laser diode( l 1, ..., l 5). <IMAGE></p> |
