PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phase-change ink carrier compsn. which dispenses with a separate softener when used in an ink preparation and imparts enough malleability and ductility to ink by chemically combining a specific resin, a specific wax, and a tackifier. SOLUTION: A urethane/isocyanate-derived resin pref. being a reaction product of at least one alcohol with an isocyanate (e.g. a reaction production of octylphenol ethoxylate with isophorone diisocyanate), a urethane/isocyanate- derived wax (e.g. a reaction product of octadecyl alcohol with octadecyl isocyanate), and a tackifier (e.g. a rosin ester tackifier) are chemically combined. |
