A belt (3) attached to the body by a buckle or velcro has sensors (1) (2) which may be electrical contacts of conducting rubber to detect an ECG signal. The signals are sent directly to a processing unit (5) also mounted on the belt (3). The processing unit (5) includes a battery (6), switch (7) and diode indicator (8) and it's output is transmitted from a coil (9) to a display unit with receiving coil (16) in the form of a digital wristwatch (10). The wristwatch has the normal time indications (11) and separate displays (12, 13, 14) for the physiological parameters.
