The distributor (1) is made up of a body (2) provided with a central hole (3) extending onto at least one of the faces (4,5) of the body (2) and enclosing a distribution gate valve (6) sliding axially of which at least one end projects outside the body. The valve (6) is in at least two parts, being a central part (7) which remains enclosed in the central hole (3), whatever may be the axial position occupied by the valve in the central hole, and end pieces (8,9), fixed to the central part (7), which corresponds approximately to at least the position of the valve projecting outside the central hole of the body when the valve is moved axially into its extreme position in the direction of that specific face.
