A display device and a method of testing the display device are provided to easily detect short-circuiting of conductive lines by locating test lines at the edge of a flexible printed circuit board and protect conductive lines formed on the flexible printed circuit board by the test lines when the flexible printed circuit board is torn. A display device includes a display panel(110), a flexible printed circuit board(128), first and second test lines(137,138), test pads(141,142), and a connecting electrode(146). The display panel displays images. The flexible printed circuit board is attached to the display panel. The first and second test lines are formed at the edge of the flexible printed circuit board. The test pads are connected to the first and second test lines and a probe terminal of an external measuring instrument. The connecting electrode is formed on the display panel and connects the first and second test lines to each other. The display device further includes a driving circuit(126) that is mounted on the display panel and drives the display panel. |
