Three-dimensional image information transmission method

The method involves accepting a first and a second sequence of images (Q1, Q2), which were taken under different viewpoints,and determining the differences in the images of the first and second sequence. The method then encodes the image difference by means of a digital redundancy-reduced coding (3). The images of one of the first and second sequences are transmitted in visible lines of a television image according to a colour TV standard. This includes a vertical blanking interval, which does not contain image information representing the sequence. The encoded data of the other sequence is transmitted in the vertical interval. Pref. the coded data includes a digital data valve. The data valve depends on pulse shaping of the analogue signal with the video signal during the combining of the horizontal and vertical raster blanking intervals.
