<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a device from abnormally ending by remeasuring the correction in a cell unit when take-out and storage operation of a magnetic tape medium is abnormal in an assembled type magnetic tape device. SOLUTION: After an accesser mechanism storage operates the magnetic tape medium to a specified cell (step 1), whether or not the storage operation to the specified cell is ended normally is judged (step 2), and when the magnetic tape medium is in contact with the gateway of the cell, and the storage operation is failed, respective positioning operation are performed for the positions of the X, Y directions of the specified cell as the retry processing of the storage operation (step 3). Thereafter, the storage operation of the magnetic tape medium is performed for the same cell again, and whether or not the storage operation to the specified cell is ended normally is judged (step 5), and when the magnetic tape medium is in contact with the gateway of the cell, and the storage operation is failed, the measurement of the attaching error of the cell for the stop position of the accesser mechanism is performed for the cell (step 6).</p> |
