PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire section rarely injuring a patient and capable of being formed into a complicated shape by winding multiple polymer fibers extended from a point located in the proximal direction of the distal end of a metal core and extended in the distal direction to a point located in the distal direction of the distal end around the metal core. SOLUTION: A guide wire distal tip section 100 has a core wire 102 made of stainless steel, and multiple fiber bundles 104 are arranged at the distal portion of the core wire 102. The fiber bundles 104 are made of polyester, they are stuck to the core wire 102 via the combination of mechanical and/or adhesive means, the outer face is preferably covered with a polymer tubular coating film 112, and the tubular film 112 is made of a material capable of being shrunk on the fiber bundles 104 to give the column strength of some degree to the fiber bundles 1 04. The second coil 108 is provided at the most distal tip section of the core wire 102, and a distal coil 110 is arranged at an interval from the distal tip section of the core wire 102. |
