The key (11) for the connection of gas bottles is formed by a key body (12) made up of a central part (15) of an extended form of which each of the ends contains an active actuating part (13,14). The first actuating part (13) is so shaped to form a tightening and releasing key for the fixing nut (8) of the pressure reducer onto the gas exit connection (5). The second actuating part (14) is so shaped to form tightening and releasing key for the nut (9) to fit the gas exit pipe (10) onto the pressure reducer (6).
