PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor having improved sensitivity by producing an electrophotographic photoreceptor with an electrode layer and a photoconductor layer and forming a thin self-organized polymer film on the photoreceptor layer side of the electrode layer. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor with an electrode layer and a photoconductor layer is produced and a thin self-organized polymer film is formed on the photoreceptor layer side of the electrode layer. The polymer film is formed, e.g. using a polymer having surface active groups such as alkoxysilyl, halosilyl, carboxyl, hydroxamic acid, phosphonic acid, sulfide, mercapto or disulfide groups. The self-organized polymer consists of a principal chain 2, optionally substd. alkylene groups 3 and surface active groups X which turn into residues Y in the groups X after bonding to the surface 4 of the electrode layer.
