Seat cushions (4) are mounted on at least one central carriage (2) which is pulled out from the chair to form the bed. At least one pivoting head cushion (16) for the bed is used as the chair backrest.An upholstered foot frame (8) is lowered between the carriage and seat cushions when the chair is in use.Converting the chair into a bed lifts the foot frame to the height of the seat cushions.
