DYE ESTIMATION METHOD AND DYE COMPOUND AND SLIVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVITY MATERIAL CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate decolorizability after development processing and to make it possible to find a useful bye compound by calculating the difference between the total energy of the unsubstituted dye compound having its methine chain for combining a heterocyclic group with a heterocyclic or aromatic group or an auxochrome group and the total energy of an addition product formed by reaction of a neuicleophilic group with carbon atoms on the hetero or aromatic ring. SOLUTION: The decolorizability after development processing is estimated by comparing the differenceΔEH with the differenceΔES, whereΔEH is the difference between the total energy E(AH) of the unsubtituted dye compound AH having its methine chain for combining the heterocyclic group with the heterocyclic or aromatic group of the auxochrome group and the total energy E(BH) of the addition product BH formed by reaction of the neucleophilic group with carbon atoms of the methine group or those of the hereto or aromatic ring combined by the methine group of the dye compound, andΔES is the difference between the total energy E(AS) of the dye compound AS having a substituent introduced into the methine chain of the dye compound AH and the total energy E(BS) of the addition product BS of the dye compound AS.
