<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform an input operation by digitally moving a pointer within a prescribed range about a pointing input device. SOLUTION: This pointing input device calculates operational direction and distance from the rotational direction and angle of a ball 1 and moves a painter on a screen. This device has a switch projection 2 which is provided to the ball 1, a sensor 3 which is arranged in an area where the ball 1 rotates and sends a contact signal S when the projection 2 interferes, and a switching part which switches the operation of the pointer into a prescribed step operation when an input is sent from the sensor 3.</p> |
