PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To issue different kind of cards for ticket examination by using cards having rewritable storage means and apply them to a severe, high-level check on illegal use by performing a ticket examining processing using those cards. SOLUTION: A radio card 40 is an IC card which has a memory of relatively large capacity as a rewritable storage means and, specially, sends the information in the memory out at need. Here, a ticket issuing machine 1 writes various information on the card 40 according to user's application to issue the card 40 as a medium for noncontact type gate passage in different style such as a commutation ticket card and a value card. Further, the ticket examining machine 2 reads the information out of the card 40 without any contact and performs a gate process for opening a door part when the information is proper. Consequently, the medium for gate passage needs to be neither thrown in equipment nor received from the equipment and the need for medium purchasing operation by trains is eliminated. |
