The transmission of large amounts of data in offices is carried out increasingly by means of ATM networks (BB). Furthermore, to be able to continue to use the large number of service features offered by conventional office communication networks, the ATM networks (BB) are integrated into these conventional networks. The method according to the invention indicates a particularly simple possibility of integrating ATM networks (BB) into existing office communication networks.
