WASTE LIQUID RECEIVING DEVICE FOR PRELIMINARY EJECTION OF INK JET HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce possibility of contaminating a finger of an operator in regard to a waste liquid receiving device for preliminary ejection of an ink jet head. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a waste liquid receiving device 30 for receiving a liquid consisting of ink which is preliminarily ejected from a plurality of ink jet heads arranged at a predetermined head pitch. It comprises an aperture section 31 defining a plurality of apertures 31a which are arranged at the head pitch and are opposed to respective ink ejection faces of the ink jet heads when the heads are placed on their predetermined preliminary ejection positions and a waste liquid receiving section 32 which is connected to the aperture section 31 so as to be communicated to the plurality of apertures 31a and receives the ink ejected from each of the ink ejection faces via the plurality of respective apertures 31a.
