NOZZLE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle having high oxidation resistance and wear resistance and capable of adjusting stably pouring. SOLUTION: In the nozzle, a ceramic thermal spray film 2 composed of ZrO2 quality having <=10wt.% CaO or spinel quality and having 100-1000μm thickness is formed at a nozzle fitting part 6 to a tundish stopper 1 where the molten steel flow is adjusted. By this constitution, this nozzle has excellent erosion resistance and the operation in a continuous casting of the steel is stabilized and the refractory cost of a furnace can be reduced.
