<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provode a knee restraint device for vehicles, which is capable of being optionally attached to a dashboard of existing construction, when necessary. SOLUTION: This knee restraint device is provided with a base plate 18, and the base plate 18 is adapted to be attached with contact with the contour of the bottom part of a dashboard and provided with at least one opening by which it is connected to a gas source 20 arranged in the dashboard. Further, the device is provided with a wall part 24 made of flexible material, and when the device is not operated, the wall part 24 is folded between the base plate 18 and a knee restraint plate 22, the wall plate 24 is connected to the base plate 18 along the first folded rim 30, and connected to the knee restraint plate 22 along the second rim.</p> |
