The lightweight dashboard is made of fabric stretched over supports. The inboard edge of the fabric is reinforced by metal wire inserts while the front edge is clamped near the windscreen. The front clamp fitting has a cover strip which clamps the edge of the dashboard onto a support strip. The fabric can be selected to personalise the vehicle and is sprayed with a stiffening material. Shaping of the dashboard is obtained by a grid former.
