The fork blade (3) comprises a basic part (3a) connected with the fork back (1), on which a head-piece part (3b) is longitudinally movable by means of a drive (6). With the head-piece part a spindle nut (4) is connected, which is arranged on a spindle (5) located rotatably on the basic part. The spindle is drivable in both rotary directions by the drive (6). The spindle is drivable by an angle gear provided in the area of the fork right-angle (2). The angle gear consists eg. of a cone wheel pair (8), working with a drive shaft (7) rotatably located on the fork back. The drive is an electric or hydraulic motor.
