An extractor unit for indoor grills, especially charcoal grills comprises (22) an extraction slot (11) above the grill inserts into a rectangular duct, entering a separator at the rear. The design, the separator is a horizontal cylinder (31) behind the duct, which enters tangentially. Its diameter is three to seven times the duct height. The cylinder extends to one- and preferably both sides of the duct. The upper duct surface joins tangentially into the cylinder. A removable cleaning cover is sealed to the casing at the end of the cylinder. The other end has a fixed cover with circular extraction opening connecting to an extractor.
