PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion apparatus in which a plurality of longitudinal burners 5 in a forward or rearward direction having flame ports injecting mixture gas at their upper ends are arranged side-by-side at a combustion chamber 2 with clearances being present in a lateral direction, a flame carry-over plate 18 is positioned near upper end of a forward or rearward portion overlapped at one end of a flame port forming region of each of the burners at a clearance between each of the burners so as to hinder ascending of secondary air and then deterioration in combustion characteristic caused by eddy flow of secondary air generated near the other end of the flame carry-over plate in its forward or rearward direction can be prevented.SOLUTION: The other end of a flame carry-over plate 18 in its forward or rearward direction is formed with a bent part 18a bent downward, an eddy flow generating position is displaced downward to prevent the eddy flow from hardly reaching up to the upper end of a burner 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
