The concrete mixer has a rotary drum (C) carried by an arm (S) connected rotatably to a frame (T) around a horizontal (a-a) to allow tilting of the drum. A motor (E) is kinematically connected to the drum to move the latter around a principal axis (F) of the same drum. The drive has a reducer (R) between the motor and drum and directly connected to the drum via a driven shaft (P) on which the drum is fixed on its principal axis. The drive connection can be by a worm and pinion drive with a crank (5) to be manually operated.
