MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR DOUBLE MAGNETIC HEAD HAVING HEAD GAPS OF OPPOSITE AZIMUTH ANGLES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily mount a double magnetic head and facilitate setting of the position and direction of the heat, by dividing each heat into a couple of groups and providing a recess for communicating the heat of the other group along each head of one group. SOLUTION: A first magnetic head 100 having a head gap g1 in the azimuthal angle -i is formed on a first substrate 150 and a second magnetic head 130 having a head gap g2 in the azimathal angle i forming a pair with the first magnetic head 100 is formed on the second substrate 150. A first recess 120 for receiving the second head 130 is etched along the first head 100 and a second 140 for receiving the first head 100 is etched along the second head 130. The first head 100 is fitted to the second recess 140 and the second head 130 to the first recess 120 so that the second head 130 is inverted in invert the sloping angle to provide the opposite ezimutual angle. The double magnetic head can be formed by junction of the assemblers obtained.
