FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular tilled crop harvesting machines. SUBSTANCE: root harvesting machine has vehicle with frame, digging out tool 7, pulling device, tops separating tool, separating device, tops discharge conveyor arranged under cascade 12, root conveyors, tops hopper and roots hopper, with all mentioned members of machine being mounted on frame. Girder 2 is mounted on front part of frame. Columns with pins 3 are mounted at sides of girder 2. Working tool 7 is detachably cantilevered on pins 3. Pulling device positioned on upper surface of working tool 7 has several conveyors. Spring-loaded levers are mounted at each side of working tool on pins. Roll 5 or 6 is mounted on each lever. Tops and roots discharge conveyors are fixed in rear part of frame. Machine has hopper-type cars 15 with rear stop wall. Each car 15 is connected by cable with frame. During unloading, car 15 and its rear wall may be turned by lifting/lowering mechanism. Car loading control system 16 is mounted on harvesting unit.
