PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent control based on an abnormal signal by delivering an alarm automatically when the output signal from an acceleration sensor is abnormal. SOLUTION: When an output indicative of a traveling vehicle is detected, a predetermined time is set at a predetermined period and the difference (α-β) between a maximum acceleration αand a minimum acceleration β appearing in the output signal from an acceleration sensor 1 within the predetermined time is added n times at the predetermined period. When the sum Σ (α-β) does not exceed a predetermined value, a decision is made that the output from the acceleration sensor 1 is abnormal and an alarm is delivered. Since abnormality of the acceleration sensor 1 itself is detected, erroneous control based on the abnormal output can be avoided and the safety can be enhanced furthermore in the traveling. |
