<p>The present invention relates to a method for collecting biological diagnostic material, wherein separated samples of effluents (9) and epithelial tissue (8) may be collected by the single working travel of a scoop. The scoop for collecting biological diagnostic material is made in the shape of a longitudinally elongated rod (1) having a head (3) that comprises two recesses (4, 5) defining working edges (6, 7). The working edges (6, 7) will cause the effluents (9) from the epithelial tissue (8) to deposit into one of said recesses (4), while the scrapped fragments of said tissue will deposit into the other recess. The scoop is provided with spatulas for removing the biological diagnostic material, wherein said spatulas are made in the shape of a plate (13) extending along a longitudinal axis OO'. This plate has a variable cross-section that progressively decreases from the distal end (14) towards the proximal end (15).</p> |
