PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety in a simple constitution by providing a neck part and a funnel-like cover fitted to a base end mounting boss of a needle on the base of a bottomed cylinder longer than the total length of an injection needle to be installed, and integrally forming the above member with a flexible material. SOLUTION: This protective cover 1 comprises a cylinder part 2 longer than the total length of an injection needle 15, a neck part 3 and a cover part 5, which are integrally formed with soft synthetic resin such as polyester or the like. The neck part 3 is formed on the base 2' of the cylinder part 2 in such a manner as to be put on a mounting boss 16 of the injection needle 15. The cover part 5 is formed like a funnel in such a manner as to be connected to the neck part 3. The forward end part 4 of the cylinder part 2 is a semi-spherical bottomed shape. The base 2' has an inside diameter a little larger than that of the cylinder part 2 to be strongly put on the outside diameter of the mounting boss 16 of the injection needle 15. The cover part 5 is formed in such a manner as to cover the shoulder part 11 of the injector 10 at the time of installation. Thus, a user's finger and an opening of the protective cover 1 are intercepted by the cover part 5 not to touch the injector needle 15, so that the needle can safely be handled. |
