<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flow property of carriers and to increase an effective capacity to an installation area by providing the top of the one half surface in the bottom of a treating vessel which is a rectangular parallelepiped with an air diffuser forming an ascending flow area and providing the lower part of the descending flow area on the other half surface of the bottom with an inclined bottom wall. SOLUTION: The ascending flow area A side of the treating vessel 1 is provided with an introducing pipe 2 and the air diffuser 3 is installed to the bottom 1c. An underwater partition plate 4 is installed in the central part of the treating vessel 1 by inclining this plate to the ascending flow area A side. The lower part of the descending flow area B side of the treating vessel 1 is provided with the inclined bottom wall 5 rising to a drain side lateral wall 1b. Further, the upper part of the descending flow area B side is provided with an outflow preventive plate 8 having a perpendicular part 6a which falls to the drain side lateral wall 1b side and curves perpendicularly. When the underwater partition plate 4 is inclined to the ascending flow area A side in such a manner, the sectional area is gradually narrowed in the lower part of the descending flow area B and, therefore, the swirling flow velocity is slow in the upper part and fast in the lower part. Consequently, the flow property of the carriers in the lower part of the descending flow area B is improved.</p> |
