<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and precisely detect the adhesion of a cut end material to a stopper by measuring the traveling distance after cut of a preceding material to be cut, and comparing this traveling distance with the set cutting length determined by the distance between a cut shear and a stopper. SOLUTION: Since the rear end of a preceding lengthy material 1a and the top end of the following lengthy material 1b are in contact state by the action of a carrying roller 2, a set length L is equal to the distance between a stopper 4 and a cut shear 5. Thus, the traveling distance Lx after cut of the preceding lengthy material is compared with a set cutting length L, whereby the adhesion of a cut end material 7 can be detected. When the cut end material 7 is adhered, the adhered cut end material 7 is removed, and the cutting is performed after the top end of the following lengthy material 1b is brought into contact with the stopper 4.</p> |
