PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recorder for jetting an ink droplet from a recording head to a recording medium in which high quality printing can be ensured even when the recording medium is not planar but curved. SOLUTION: A timing for jetting an ink droplet is previously calculated based on the distance between a nozzle and a recording medium, the jetting speed of ink droplet from the nozzle, and the moving speed of a carriage carrying a recording head 101. A head drive means 201 generates a nozzle drive si.gnal based on a recording data and a previously calculated jet timing and delivers the nozzle drive signal to each row of nozzle in the recording head 101. The recording head 101 jets an ink droplet toward a recording paper according to a nozzle drive signal being delivered. A CPU 204 controls a carriage drive motor, a carrying roller drive motor and the head drive means 201 to record a recording data. |
