PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the correct position of a pixel defect by expandingly projecting the image of a liquid crystal display panel on a screen and inspecting the pixel defect on the screen. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a projecting device 8, a panel loading and taking out device 24 for takeing out a liquid crystal display panel 1 while keeping it loaded at the opening part 9 of the projecting device 8, a screen 10 on which an image from the projecting device 8 is projected and a pixel defect position indicating device 25 indicating a laser light at the position of a pixel defect in the image projected on the screen 10. The pixel defect due to the liquid crystal panel 1 set in a jig 2 is made to be expandingly displayed. The laser light 20 generated from a small-sized laser light generator 11 is overlapped with the pixel detect expandingly displayed on the screen 10 by operating a mouse. Then, when the number of pulse signals inputted to twoθ-axis pulse motors 4, 7 being used in the attitude controlling of the laser light 20 is counted, the correct position of the pixel defect is determined.
