The bed cover is made from a padding material (3) whose length and width corresponds to the dimensions of a standard bed. It is held between two strips of fabric (1,2) which are wider than the padding material and form free peripheral flaps. The padding material is placed on the centre of one strip of fabric and the other strip is placed over these. The padding material is stitched to the fabric strips along its lateral and transversal edges (a,b). The strips of fabric are then cut to a geometrical shape.
