Electrophotographic photoconductor with roughened substrate
摘要
A process for roughening the substrate (1) of photoconductors for electrophotographic machine such as copiers or laser printers consists of sandblasting the surface using a medium with a grain size of not more than 25 microns. This is delivered from a nozzle (7) held at a predetermined distance from the substrate, which is mounted on a revolving table (8) turning at a predetermined speed, along the axial direction (PQ) at a fixed speed under air pressure (6). This gives a roughness to the surface of 5 microns or less. The roughened surface holds the photoconducting layer with even film thickness and quality. This ensures pictures without defects such as black flecks or empty patches and minimises risks of irregular loading and poor reproducibility. The process of roughening the substrate surface is inexpensive.
