The dehumidifier has a compressor (5) which compresses coolant gas to a higher temp. before it is sent to a condenser (9). The coolant gas becomes liq. coolant as it passes the condenser. A heat exchanger (14) receives and dehumidifies the coolant. The heat exchanger also cools down the high-temp. moist air. The liq. coolant is supplied from the heat exchanger to a cooling chamber (3), whereas the water separated from the moist air during the dehumidification process is exhausted to a cooling water container (24) through a drain pipe (20,20a). An evaporator (T) provided with radial fins (25) placed on the cooling water container evaporates the water.
