Method for adhesively bonding glass (4) to metal (2), in which the adhesive joint (3) is very rapidly pregelled by application, simultaneous with assembly, of infrared radiation and of a high frequency, the high-frequency emitter (1) being preferentially placed on the side containing the metal sheet and the infrared emitter (5) on the side containing the glass. The preferred adhesives for this application are compositions which are both thermally pregellable and post-polymerisable under the influence of ambient moisture, in particular compositions containing a polyurethane prepolymer whose chains are partly terminated by acrylic groups and partly by free isocyanate groups. The invention applies to the assembly of windscreens, rear windows and fixed side windows made of enamelled glass on motor-vehicle production lines. <IMAGE> |
