PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction system for possessing the communication managing information of facsimile(FAX) equipment from an electronic device connected to the FAX equipment. SOLUTION: When a command is received from a LAN, the FAX equipment check whether the command is a transmitted result report request or not and when it is the transmitted result report request, it is checked whether a transmission file issuing this transmitted result report request just waits for transmission or not. When that file does not wait for transmission, it is checked whether the transmitted result of this transmission file is OK or not and when the transmitted result is OK, the transmitted result managing information of transmitted result OK is transmitted to a personal computer(PC) requesting the report of this transmitted result as electronic mail so that processing can be finished. When the transmitted result of the transmission file requesting the report of this transmitted result is NG, the transmitted result managing information of transmitted result NG is transmitted to the PC as electronic mail and processing is finished (steps S1-S6). The PC receives this transmitted result managing information transmitted as the electronic mail and displays it on a display or outputs it to a printer. |
