PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for the solid-contg. materials obtainable from the discharge matter which contains the org. mater and calcium carbonate of the substantial amt. discharged from an industrial plant or process, for example, a plant for deinking waste paper and a water-based suspended liquid contg. the inorg. granular material contg. kaolin or metakaolin and can contain carbon particles. SOLUTION: This method includes a stage for subjecting the solid-contg. materials obtainable from the discharge matter to a heat treatment process. The temp. of the heat treatment is maintained in a range of 600 to 800 deg.C, by which the combustion of org. material is induced without the occurrence of decomposition exceeding 50wt.% of the existing calcium carbonate and the granular calcium carbonate-contg. inorg. materials contg. substantially no org. materials is produced.
