PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share a file between computer networks by combining a file name with an in-node number when a unique file name used for a computer that is shared between users of computer networks is effective to a user operating system. SOLUTION: For instance, a file name is checked to decide whether a file name is effective to an operating system of a specific client (S500). An optional character is eliminated from an original file name that is ineffective to the client operating system after a file name is checked (S510). This file name is abbreviated in response to the length and the format which are requested by the client operating system (S520). Then several characters are added or overwritten as necessary by means of the characters which are segmented from an in-node number set to a specific file (S530).
