FIELD: steady-frequency voltage generation for variable-speed power-generating unite. SUBSTANCE: generator has multicoil closed field winning designed as DC machine armature winding. At rotor speed other than synchronous, generator output frequency is regulated by using speed governor with leads of diametrically opposite coils of field winding sequentially connected to controlled DC current supply at commutation frequency proportional to slip frequency and to number of coils per pole pair. EFFECT: improved speed control range within which generated voltage frequency is maintained constant. 2 dwge
